Story PipeStory Pipe is an intensive developing period (approximately 5 months) for film projects that culminates in the Story Market. The application period for the Story Pipe ends on 16 March. The selection results are announced at the turn of March-April. In March any resident of Lapland may offer their film project to the Story Pipe. Those film projects must be either in the form of a step outline (fiction) or in treatment form (documentary). Please, attach to your application synopsis, your motivation (why do you want to make your film) and your CV. The application may also contain elements of the film projects' sales package (for example a financing and production plan). Altogether about eight film projects will be chosen for the Story Pipe. Those films will be introduced and pitched to national financers and producers. The films will be chosen by an outsider (Eila Ranta, former Werning) who can judge whether a film has potential to be developed from the Story Pipe to national financers in the Story Market. Script- workshop = A workshop that offers sparring for scripts developed with the MiniSources- method. When you go to the script-workshop, you must have finished the first version of your script. Projects and participants are split into documentary and fiction groups. Scriptwriters and producers are present. The fiction and documentary groups works in the workshop 3 days. The script-workshop is held in May. Package- workshop = In the package- workshop the sales packages of the film projects are shaped up and pitching the projects to financers is practiced (short oral presentation). The workshop lasts for 2 days and the participants are the projects' scriptwriters, directors and producers. This workshop is held in June at the same time as the Midnight Sun film festival. The sales package must be ready and delivered to the financers by the end of June. Before delivering a selector checks the sales packages (June) and gives suggestions as to their completion. |
